This magical island offered so much beautiful scenery; it was hard to imagine we were not in a movie! The morning til around 3pm the beach was absolutely stunning, packed with brown gorgeous travellers…we obviously fit in perfectly!! After 3pm the tide went out a good 100m and the sun bakers disappeared with it. It was not much later when the night scene took off. We were pre-warned to grab as many flyers as possible…the flyers were for free drinks at different bars every 30 min!! It was good to catch up with some guys we’d met earlier in Vietnam, many travellers take a similar route and you run into them regularly. Although we enjoyed our stay in Phi Phi, it was very geared towards the single scene, aka “pick-up central”, where we didn’t quite fit in!!
